Our Story
GIG was envisioned and established by Ethiopian born German printing technologist, Dawit Asfaw Tessema, who has a vast knowledge and rich experience in state of the art printing technologies by working in a well-known printing company in Germany and European countries.
Until recently, a label printing materials in Ethiopia were and still are printed either in Nairobi or Dubai.
Having observed the unavailability of label printings in Ethiopia when he comes home to visit families, Dawit conceived the idea of establishing a label printing company and engaged in studying the appropriate technologies and finding the suppliers in Germany. Then, by fulfilling the investment requirements and acquiring the investment certificate from Ethiopian Investment Commission, he established GIG as the first label printing company in the country by importing the required printing machines and equipment from Germany in June 2017.
The installation of the machines, equipment and training local technicians and commissioning was carried by German technical persons who were sent by the suppliers of the machines.
Currently GIG has well trained printing technicians, designers and produces the following products.

What We Offer
We produce self adhesive labels, from simple blank labels for logistics to high –quality, 8-color printed labels for product equipment. We have a capacity of producing 7,000/hour self- adhesive labels on our seven label presses in flex or and offset printing and our punch presses.
Our labels can be found on products of all kinds- for example, on food packages and non- food packages of all kinds, on chemical products and care articles, on electronic and technical components, on logistics and shipping cartons and directly on meat and glass products.
